Christmas is two weeks away. No doubt your property tax bill is due as well as your mammogram. Tomorrow you fear going to work because it’s been rumored to be pink slip day for the 5th year in a row at your company.
Stress not. Remember you are the resilient sex. At a recent seminar called Fits & Starts and Vanishing Parts at Pilates 1901 given by life coach Jill Tupper, I learned the following therapeutic ways to vent your worries and move on empowered to conquer another day.
Stitch and Bitch
Knitting groups around the globe wield needles and wisdom while pearling yarn into submission and solving their problems of the female world.
Rip & Sip
Much is solved over cocktails or coffee while women gather to rant until they’re shoulders are weightless and their hearts are filled with good spirits.
Same concept as above but women spew their blues until last call.
Burning Bowl Ceremony
Angry women flick their Bics and their cares go up in smoke on little pieces of paper reflecting how minor the problem really was in the scope of things.
Dodge the world for two hours by taking in a thriller or drama where the lead actress makes your life look like a walk in Hush Puppies compared to what you’ve escalated in your head.
Sing Do Re Me Fa So La Te Do
Why? Because this Sound of Music song activates the tuning of human energy in essence allowing our chakra centers to open and heal.
Play with Dolls
Assign one worry to each Guatemala worry doll before tucking it under you pillow. You can sleep soundly as the doll will attend to your worry before the sun rises.
