I am a modern day Mona Lisa: Independent, running with a pack of creative women, and looking at the world through fresh eyes.
I write and travel as much as humanly possible and bitch and waste time with people who don’t get me as little as possible.
I started blogging in 2011 after crying my eyes out in a dark theatre watching the comedy, Bridesmaids. That screening marked the end of my midlife crisis and the beginning of my grand new life.
I have a master’s degree in life through trial and error and one from Webster University in media communications. I also have an undergraduate degree in journalism, probably because my mom named me after Brenda Starr the cartoon character and ravishing reporter.
I’m addicted to cats, M&Ms, Aveda products, the blues and well-traveled men.
I’m forever curious and ask too damn questions.
By day, I’m a PR Consultant for a Fortune 500 Kansas City company. By night, I heat up the keyboard and video camera at Midlife Mona Lisa.
My dream is to inspire midlife women, write my first book, Stark, Raving, Midlife, marry for the first time before I turn 60, and dance with Ellen.
And, finally, I still believe in storybook endings.
