About Brenda
Blogging to me is the equivalent of a two-year sweat lodge ceremony or a spiritual journey aided by Ayahuasca from the rainforest. It has emptied me, been my teacher and filled me back up again.
The clarity of writing and helping others has healed me of my 2009-2011 midlife crisis. Blogging has helped me relaunch a writing career that I had put on hold over a decade ago for a sales career. It also landed me on a reality TV show Feb. 2013 called The Job.
Blogging for the past two years (age 50-51) has helped me let go of the past, find my authentic self, true passions and sexual mojo. However, I must say, that two-year male juice fast was quite a necessary cleanse.
Entering Q2 2013, I’m back in demand with my PR clients. I’m fortunate to have hot, hip, intelligent men calling on me and a full calendar of activities that makes me smile when I see what I have to look forward to each new day, week and month.
None of this came easily or by happenstance. It was a long, lonely journey back filled with tears and doubts, but I knew I had to face my demons (overworking, overloving, overfilling my calendar all so I wouldn’t have to look inside and see what really was missing instead of blaming it on someone else).
I’ve spent the past two years meticulously putting my life back together exactly the way I dreamed it should be. I would like to help you do the same if your road ahead doesn’t look so lush.
What Else I Do & Love
As the owner of my own public relations firm, Group Renaissance PR,I market cities, help powerful women get in the news, and ghostwrite blogs for CEOs. I enjoy packaging and relaunching products, brands, and people. Professionally and personally,I recover from big downers quickly and live large in midlife — mostly from years of experience of getting kicked down and dusting myself back off. Now I accept my non-conformity and leverage it to the fullest.
I’m forever curious and ask too damn many questions. I love cats (even though I’m highly allergic to them). I love the blues and going to Chicago each year to partake of the festival in Grant Park. I love yoga, reading, traveling and placing myself as far out of my element as possible as often as possible. Because that’s where the good stuff is.
